Yeah, isn’t ironic how they’re pissed that Zig was the one who pushed Cam over the edge, yet they’re wishing death on Zig? It’s a bit hypocritical, if you ask me. If this were a real life situation and not about a fictional TV show, they’d be worse than Zig in this case.
Uh.. okay? For starters, nobody is to be blamed when it comes to suicide - that’s fucked up and isn’t right in the slightest bit.
What Zig said to Cam was wrong, I’ll agree, but can you really blame him? He gets elbowed in the eye and then jumped out of nowhere. He had every right to be pissed at Cam because, to his knowledge, he hadn’t done anything as of late to spark it. On the flipside, I will argue that it was because of the look/smile Zaya shared before the game started, but this is about Zig not Cam.
Zig’s a fourteen year old kid and of course he’s going to say some really ignorant things, but he didn’t know how bad Cam’s depression was. Hell, he probably didn’t even know Cam was depressed. Some people aren’t around others with mental illnesses, how are they supposed to know and/or react when someone snaps like Cam did?
Yes, Zig’s words were the straws that broke the camel’s back - but if it weren’t him, it would have been someone else because he wasn’t getting the real help he needed. He was only searching for happiness in one thing and relying on Maya to give that all to him. Cam was a ticking time bomb, it was only a matter of time.
So yes, I suppose I’m still a defender of the idiot that is Zig Novak. Bam.
